Netcast: Interview with Mark Mohr of Christafari
On this week's episode of the Rock for Life Netcast we feature music by Goodnight Wednesday
We hung out with Goodnight Wednesday last month during GMA Music Week and we interviewed them. As we hung out in "The Bridge" we quickly learned about a pro-life song they are in the process of writing and recording. It's called, "Let's Kill Our Kids." It is obviously sarcastic and meant to wake people up, especially those who are fond of that type of humor. This song will be featured in their upcoming CD release and of course Rock for Life will keep you posted.
We also feature an interview with Mark Mohr of Christafari. We also ran into Mark at GMA Music Week. Here he gave us a preview of a pro-life song he is working on. It is called "The Protesters" and it is a "We are the World" type of reggae song. This is not specifically a Christafari song, but instead a song with many special guest appearances. We are excited about this song and are looking forward to how the song develops and what Mark does with this song. We know many hearts and minds will be converted and babies saved once this song is released so we are especially grateful for all the hard work Mark is putting into this. We will keep you posted of course here at Rock for Life.
We also discuss news and commentary. Especially interesting this week is:
Obama's pick of Sotomayer to fill Souter's shoes on the US Supreme Court,
Liberty University expelling Campus Democrats and
Kansas Gov. Parkinson vetoing funding cuts of Planned Parenthood.
Make sure to listen to hear Jeff & I comment on these news stories.

RFL Facebook Cause Group
A couple weeks ago, we initiated a Rock for Life Facebook Cause group. If you have joined, thank you! The first two weeks of the Rock for Life Cause has generated some great interest. As of this writing we have nearly 900 members. We should definitely reach 1,000 before the end of the week.
The first thing we would like to do with this cause is help raise interest in supporting our annual Rock for Life Summer Festivals Tour. We will be attending 14 Christian Music Festivals this summer promoting human rights for all people, born and preborn, and spreading the personhood message that each and every human being is a person from his or her biological beginning. Through this work we expect hearts and minds to be converted, babies lives saved and thousands recruited to join our efforts.
While this is an exciting and ambitious effort unfortunately it comes with a price tag. In order to reach each event we will need to put 1,000 gallons of gas in our gas tank. With gas prices nearing $2.50 a gallon we currently expect our gas bill this summer to reach $2,500.
In order for us to accomplish our goals we need your help!
1) Pray for us. Pray that this cause grows, for a safe and successful trip and many hearts and minds converted to the pro-life position!
2) Help spread the word. Invite your friends to join our cause. Facebook allows you to invite 60 friends max per day. Why not take advantage of that and invite 60 friends a day until all your friends have been invited?
3) Donate. Our gas costs alone will be at least $2,500. The minimum amount you can donate to the Rock for Life Cause on Facebook is $10. If we can get just 250 of the current 900 RFL Cause friends to donate the minimum $10 (4 gallons of gas) before we leave, our gas bill would be paid for! Wouldn't that be amazing? Our team could leave RFL Headquarters on June 9 and not have to worry about paying the gas bill. It would already be taken care of! Would you please consider donating $10 and/or asking your friends and family to do the same?
Thanks again for joining, praying for us, spreading the word and for considering donating to our amazing cause.
Stay tuned for next week as we will introduce you to the Rock for Life Summer Festivals 2009 Tour Team Phase 1 Team!
RFL's Mission Statement is Re-defined
While writing up an ad for HM Magazine's Summer Festival edition (make sure to look for it to find out how you can get a $5 Rock for Life T-shirt as well as free music downloads) we decided to rephrase our mission statement. This is what we came up with:
Rock for Life is promoting human rights for all people, born and preborn, by engaging the culture through music and education. Rock for Life's message is the personhood message: that each and every human being is a person from his or her biological beginning.
Let us know what you think!
Summer Festivals Tour volunteers still needed
We are in need of a couple more volunteers. Jeff still needs a volunteer for each of the following festivals to finish his team; Creation East, Cornerstone, Lifest and SonShine. If you are interested in volunteering with Rock for Life, going to one or more of these festivals, educating your peers on the horrors of abortion and other attacks against life, as well as recruiting and distributing materials, let Jeff know. You can join us for all four festivals in a row, or just come out to one or a couple.

The Pill Kills Women
Pro-lifers across the country will be participating in the largest protest ever against the birth control pill and other birth control products. Last year, participants across the United States shared the facts on exactly how the pill kills babies. This year, we will expose the sordid details surrounding the tragic effects these chemicals have on women. We will emphasize the truth about how the pill kills women.
Click here to listen to a recent netcast where Erik & Jeff interview Marie Hahnenberg, project manager of ThePillKills.com and how specifically the birth control pill has serious bad side effects, including death!
