How do I get to Washington, DC?

By car, plane, bus, train or on foot.

If you drive, there is parking at the Holiday Inn on The Hill. The address is 415 New Jersey Ave., NW, Washington, DC. Parking is expensive here. You may want to park at Union Station, which is only a few blocks away and is significantly cheaper. Union Station is at 1st St. NE & Massachusetts Ave. To walk from Union Station to the Hyatt Regency, get on Louisiana Ave. Walk one full block away from Union Station. Take a right on D Street and you’ll see the Hyatt on the right.

If you fly, fly into Washington National, Washington Dulles, or Baltimore Washington (BWI). This year we will not be providing transportation from the airports to the Holiday Inn. We will be providing you detailed information on how to get from the airports, train stations and bus stations to the Holiday Inn, and of course the other way around. Washington, D.C. has a great public transportation service. Each airport has inexpensive shuttle services as well. . That information is in the follow up confirmation letter sent to you after registering.

If you take a bus, the Greyhound Bus Station is located at 1005 1st St. NE. Once you are here you are only several blocks away from the Holiday Inn. We will provide you with directions and a phone number for local cabs.

If you take a train, you can walk from Union Station by using the directions mentioned above.

Can I still attend your events if I’m not registered to stay with you for the weekend?

YES! The registration fee is for people who would like to stay with us for the weekend at the Holiday Inn, attend all of our events, while getting cool stuff like a free pullover hoodie, concert ticket, etc., etc. If you don’t register with us you will not get those free goodies, but you are definitely invited to attend any or all of our events. Send us an email with your intentions so we can keep track of how many people are attending specific events.

Do you have to be associated or affiliated with a Rock for Life chapter to be a part of Training and Activism Weekend?

You do not have to be affiliated or associated with a Rock for Life chapter to be a part of our Training Weekend. All pro-lifers are welcome to attend any or all of our events.

Do we need to register as a group of four or can we attend alone or with a group of two or three?

You may register alone, or with a group of two or more. To keep the costs down we are putting four to a room—males separate from females, of course. In order to accommodate you the best that we can, tell us what group you are registering with as well as your preferred roommates. That way we can keep you guys together.

Here are a couple alternatives for those not able to share a room with 3 other people:

  • Crowne Plaza Washington National Airport, 1480 Crystal Dr., Arlington, Va. 22202. $119 per night plus tax (special Rock for Life rate). Click here to book your room.
  • Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City, 2650 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Va. 22202. $99 per night plus tax (special Rock for Life rate). Click here to book your room.

Is their an age limit?

Attendees 17 and under must have their parents permission and fill out a "hold harmless agreement" which will be provided in a confirmation letter.

Do kids get in free?

Well, yes and no. To keep the costs down we are packing four to a room. If you want to bring your child and still share the room with three others, then your child is free. If you want to bring your child and have him/her count as one in the “four to a room” policy, then we need to collect the registration fee for your child. Think of it as an airline ticket. On most airlines kids 2 and younger are free, as long as they share a seat with an adult. But if you want your child to have their own seat, you have to pay for an airline ticket for the child.

Are meals included?

We will be able to provide some light breakfast items, like bagels, donuts, coffee, etc., etc. for each morning. We may be able to provide more. We will also be providing you with an extensive list of eateries and grocery stores within walking distance. We will keep you posted, of course.
