The election will not change a thing

For those of you not living under a rock, you know that the U.S. is about to elect a new president on November 4th. Abortion has been a big issue in the campaign, but that leads us to worry that many Americans are viewing it as just that - an issue. Abortion is not just an issue, and its not just a talking point; its not just a way to score votes, and its not a way to raise money. Abortion is the intentional and violent ending of an innocent human person's life, and we MUST remember that.

Rock for Life is not endorsing or supporting any candidate in the presidential election, but we can guarantee you one thing - regardless who wins, we will not change our mission or tactics. We will continue to activate pro-life youth, aid them in educating their peers, mobilize a devoted movement of passionate and life-affirming young people, and equip them with the tools and knowledge they need to permanently and positively affect their generation. Our goal is total personhood and equality for preborn human beings, and that remains unchanged.

With this, Rock for Life is issuing a call for pro-life organizations and individuals to make plans for massive pro-life visibility at the presidential inauguration on January 20th in Washington, D.C. The world's media will be focused on Washington, D.C. that day, and we fully intend on showing the world that the pro-life advocates of America WILL NOT let presidential politics affect the direction of our movement. Our movement is growing, we are gaining ground, and we will continue to change hearts and minds. Rock for Life activists were a visible witness for life at the 2005 Inauguration, and held a protest at the White House to remind President Bush that pro-life activists would not remain complacent.

Let me know if you can make it or if you can support these efforts with your prayers or financial support.

I appreciate your group's stance on this issue. As a Christian who votes Democrat, I have seen how the Republican party has drawn votes using abortion as a talking point. It was pointed out to me once that abortion would most likely never be made illegal by Republicans who are "pro-life", simply because it draws so many votes for them each election cycle. I truly admire your ability to look past this and say that neither major candidate is willing to tackle the problem of abortion. Nick Mullins MCRP Georgia Institute of Technology

as a mom of 2 and step-mom of 2 and a mom of an aborted child. i want to personally thank you for this organization. abortion not only kills the unborn but it ruins the mind of the mother....either she will act like it was the right decision and live in denial her whole life or she will feel the weight of guilt press on her forever. unless there is true repentance, healing and forgiveness this 1 event in a womans life can change her forever. so thank you for making a stand for all the unborn and all the women who could be deceived into thinking abortion is a great solution to a seemingly scary situation...an unplanned pregnancy. I am sure i am just preaching to the choir, but i am praying for you all to get this messge out to as many young folks as you can...you can change an entire nation! May God bless you all and protect you in your endeavor. sincerely, mrs. yaich
